I did lessons with Stuart for around 2y as part of a push to get me back to playing the guitar and improving my theory base. With a busy life and job, it's hard to make time to practice as much as I'd like but Stuart is a fantastic teacher for someone like me. Very patient with the lack of practice but also pushing me to play things I would never have attacked myself - all within a tiered long term programme that really helped me raise my level. And he's just a lovely person (sorry for the public cringe comment, Stuart!) - I couldn't recommend lessons with him enough.Posted on Google![]()

I've been having guitar lessons with Stuart for 3.5 years and can't recommend him highly enough. His skills and knowledge are exceptional and thorough — it's clear he puts a lot of work into preparing for every lesson. He's incredibly patient when explaining the theory side of things, and always gives me plenty of songs to practise to help consolidate what I've learned. His lessons are well structured but also tailored to my needs, whether that's learning a favourite song or preparing for an upcoming performance. Highly recommend if you're looking for a guitar teacher who genuinely invests in your progress.Posted on Google![]()

I spent years making slow progress before deciding I needed a guitar teacher, and I was so lucky to find Stuart when I did. Beyond learning new songs he's taught me to understand what I'm playing and how to teach myself. I'm now playing things I would never have imagined I could, and making much faster progress than before. Apart from all that he's a very patient and positive teacher and great fun. If you're in any doubt, just hit him up. You won't regret it.Posted on Google![]()

No stress with grades or learning endless chords -Tom has learned a wide repertoire of music and continues to do so with Stuart . I would definitely recommend him if you are looking for a great guitar teacher who is very personable with a great knowledge of music.Posted on Google![]()

Stuart is an incredible teacher. He’s patient and adapts to your learning style, even over the course of a single lesson. He tailors lessons to what you want whilst also ensuring you are - over time - building up the skills you need. Everything stays fresh and interesting. He can teach you anything on a guitar, and if you don’t get it immediately, he’ll just break it down and help you try different approaches to take the first steps before building up from there. Can’t recommend him enough.Posted on Google![]()

He is very dedicated to teaching guitar properly, without relying on shortcuts or quick fixes. His focus is on helping students genuinely learn how to play, building technique and understanding from the ground up. He has helped me make real progress with classical guitar, particularly in working towards the ABRSM grades. I would highly recommend him to anyone looking for a structured, thoughtful, and committed guitar teacher.Posted on Google![]()

As a self taught guitarist of some 30 years, I decided to get lessons to improve my technique and become a more rounded player. I have found Stuart a great teacher in this respect, and have made major improvements in so many different aspects of my playing as well as becoming confident in learning new songs which I would not have dreamed about a couple of years ago. As well as a real focus on timing and techniques, Stuart is very flexible around any specific issues I have on learning new stuff. I thoroughly recommend Stuart
